At night, Russia used missiles and drones to attack Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, Ukrenergo reports.
According to the company, this is the seventh major attack on Ukraine’s energy system—energy facilities were damaged in four regions of the country : Vinnitsa, Dnepropetrovsk, Kyiv and Donetsk regions.
Due to the shelling, Ukrenergo writes, seven people who work in the energy sector were also injured. They are now hospitalized, one of them is in serious condition. Probably three of them are residents of the Dnepropetrovsk region; the head of the regional administration, Dmitry Lisak, wrote about their injury.
According to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, at night, due to the attack in the Vinnytsia region, 218 thousand subscribers were left without electricity in 427 populated areas points, but their power supply was restored. At the same time, in the Kyiv region, by morning, more than 7.2 thousand consumers in 10 settlements remained without power.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, 27 Shahed-131/136 drones and nine missiles of different types were used during the shelling: from These include four Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles, three Iskander-M ballistic missiles and two Kh-59 guided aircraft missiles. In total, 10 regions of Ukraine were attacked.
