Three reports were drawn up against the author of a Yakut news YouTube channel, who was detained on the day of Putin’s visit to the region.

After being detained on the day of Vladimir Putin’s arrival in the region, three protocols were drawn up against the author of the YouTube channel “Honest Yakutia” Pyotr Shepelev. Yakutia.Info reports this.

Putin visited Yakutsk the day before, June 18. From there he went to North Korea. On this day, an unknown man was guarding Shepelev near his house. The police detained the blogger when he left his house to take out the trash. Before putting Shepelev in the car, the security forces handcuffed him.

As Yakutia.Info clarifies, protocols were drawn up against the blogger for resisting a police officer (Article 19.3 of the Administrative Code) and participation in a spontaneous rally that took place in Yakutsk at the end of January this year (Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). Then the townspeople took to the streets because of the murder of a local resident by a native of Tajikistan. What became the reason for the third protocol is unknown. The court will consider the blogger’s administrative case tomorrow.

Peter Shepelev works as an assistant to State Duma deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Pyotr Ammosov from Yakutia. The YouTube news channel “Honest Yakutia” (Yakutia.com) has 275 thousand subscribers, where they mainly publish short videos — shorts about events in the republic.
