WASHINGTON, June 25 The accelerating crisis of Euro-Atlanticism has long been obvious for those countries that want to get rid of the dictates of a unipolar world, said the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the United States Anatoly Antonov.
“The accelerating crisis of Euro-Atlanticism has long been obvious to capitals striving to get rid of the unipolar dictatorship,” he told Newsweek. The head of the Russian diplomatic mission emphasized that the West openly ignored the interests of Russia and other states, since “there seemed to be no alternative to the dominance of the United States and its direct satellites.”
As the ambassador noted, “a symbol of Western arrogance” was Washington’s refusal to seriously consider the initiatives announced by Moscow at the end of 2021 on mutual guarantees based on the principle of indivisible security.
«Such arrogance and expansionism, based on military force, economic sanctions and political pressure, are certainly «rocking» the situation in Eurasia and in the world as a whole. They are exacerbating disagreements, new and old inter-country contradictions in the South Caucasus, in Central Asia, the Middle East, the Asia-Pacific region,» Antonov added.
