MOSCOW, June 25. WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange turned the tide of events back after being released from prison, American journalist Tucker Carlson wrote on the social network X.
““A good man is finally free. The tide has turned back,” he said.
Previously Wikileaks account on the social network X reported that Julian Assange was released from a British prison, he is flying to his native Australia.
The news of the release was preceded by reports that the founder of WikiLeaks is preparing to enter into a deal with American prosecutors on a partial confession of guilt in exchange for punishment in the form of time already served.
According to CBS, the deal should fully resolve all legal claims against Assange. The television channel specifies that its “finalization” will take place on Wednesday in the Federal District Court of the Northern Mariana Islands, a US possession in the Pacific Ocean.
Assange gained worldwide fame by founding the WikiLeaks website, where hundreds of thousands of confidential materials were published, including, for example, video footage of the death of Iraqi civilians as a result of an attack by an American helicopter in Baghdad.
