Gusev: a state of emergency has been introduced in the Voronezh region due to detonation after a UAV attack
Governor of the Voronezh region Alexander Gusev announced the introduction of a local emergency regime after a night drone attack in the region. According to the official, a special regime is now in effect “within the boundaries of the settlement of the Podgorensky district,” where last night “an incident occurred with a Ukrainian UAV.”
“While the detonation of explosive objects continues,” the head of the region explained. “As a result one of the explosions, the outbuilding of a residential building caught fire.»
The road passing through the settlement is blocked, local residents are evacuated to temporary accommodation centers.
Earlier on Sunday, Gusev said that air defense forces destroyed «several UAVs over the territory of the Voronezh region» and «when their remains fell, a fire occurred in one of the warehouses,» after which «the detonation of explosive objects began.» The official did not specify the name of the settlement, but emphasized that “according to preliminary data, none of the citizens were injured.”
