KOSTROMA, July 14 Production of components for motor vehicles in the Kostroma region increased by the results of five months of 2024 by 64.2% compared to similar indicators last year, follows from Rosstat data.
As the administration of the Kostroma region notes, the active growth of production is closely related to the implementation of import substitution programs. With the support of the regional authorities, enterprises were able to rebuild production, increase volumes and reorient output to the market of a number of CIS countries. 
« “Thanks to support measures, production at the Galich Truck Crane Plant remains stable. The enterprise is one of the leaders in the country. Many models have no analogues in Russia and meet the highest world standards,” the regional administration reports.
In particular, with the support of the Governor of the Kostroma Region Sergei Sitnikov, in 2021 the Galich Truck Crane Plant began implementing an investment project for the technical re-equipment of production. A high-tech painting area and robotic systems were put into operation. The total investment is estimated at approximately 275 million rubles. The regional administration supports the enterprise through the investment tax deduction mechanism.
“The production of components for machines has also increased. Compared to the same period last year, enterprises increased production by 64.2%,” informs the regional administration.
The leading manufacturer of spare parts in the region is the Kostroma Automotive Components Plant. Today this is “the only enterprise for the production of a full range of cylinder-piston parts.” More than 25 million parts are produced here annually according to international standards.
«The enterprise is being helped to develop by federal and regional support measures. Thus, as part of the implementation of the presidential national project «Labor Productivity», the auto components plant has reduced the time for manufacturing a batch of parts by 25% and increased production by 27%,» the regional administration said in a statement.
In addition, the enterprise is actively using the support measures of the regional industrial fund, created on the initiative of Governor Sergei Sitnikov, as well as preferences in the implementation of investment projects. As noted by the regional authorities, in the near future the plant will expand import-substituting production of engine parts. The region will provide the enterprise with support in the form of a tax deduction.
