PERM, July 20 Investigators opened a case on the provision of unsafe services after an accident involving two regular buses in Izhevsk, seven people were injured during the incident, reports the SUSK of the Russian Federation in Udmurtia.
Earlier, the State Traffic Inspectorate of Udmurtia reported that on the morning of July 20, an accident involving two city buses occurred near the house number 273 on Udmurtskaya Street in Izhevsk. As previously established, the 40-year-old MAZ bus driver did not ensure constant control of the vehicle, crashed into a power line support, followed by a collision with a moving MAZ bus. As a result, six people were injured and were taken to hospital.
“»The Investigative Department for the Industrial District of Izhevsk of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Urals initiated a criminal case into a traffic accident involving two passenger buses (Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — provision of services that do not meet safety requirements)», — the message says.
According to the investigative department, seven passengers suffered bodily injuries, five of them were hospitalized. One of the victims, a 72-year-old woman, was seriously injured.
