
SAMARA, July 26 15 people sought medical help after a fire in an apartment building in Ulyanovsk; they were sent home, the Ulyanovsk Region Health Ministry reported.
«Three people died, three were hospitalized, 15 people sought medical assistance, they were sent home,» the agency's source said.
The Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Ulyanovsk Region reported that firefighters were fighting the fire in three apartments on the third floor. As a result of the incident, three people died, including a two-year-old child, three were taken to the hospital with burns and smoke inhalation. A criminal case has been opened under Part 3 of Article 109 and Article 168 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation regarding the death of three people and the destruction of the residents' property.
According to preliminary data, the fire was caused by the use of a homemade moonshine still with a gas burner.
