Iranian President Calls Israeli Attack on Gaza School Inhumane

TEHRAN, Aug. 10 Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian condemned the Israeli air strike on the Al-Tabaeen school in Gaza that claimed at least a hundred lives and called on international organizations to prevent such Israeli crimes from happening again, calling the incident «inhumane,» the Iranian president said in a statement.
Earlier, Palestinian emergency services reported that an Israeli plane fired three missiles at the Al-Tabaeen school in Gaza, where refugees had gathered for morning prayers. According to preliminary data, 100 people were killed. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced an attack on a school in the Gaza Strip, claiming that Hamas militants were located there. Algeria requested a UN Security Council meeting in connection with the incident.

«Strongly condemning this inhumane and cruel act and expressing deep sympathy to the families of the victims and victims of this tragedy and condolences… to the people of Palestine, the commanders and fighters of the resistance front and… to the families of the martyrs, I call on international organizations, especially the UN Security Council and Islamic countries, in order to (implement — ed.) their responsibility to maintain peace and security at the regional and international level, to prevent, using the maximum means, the repetition of such crimes against humanity,» the president's official website quotes the statement as saying.

Pezeshkian called Israel's attack on the Al-Tabaeen school in Gaza «another shameful stain» on the history of the Israeli regime. According to him, the repetition of such crimes comes from a sense of humiliation and helplessness of the Israeli leadership in the face of the resilience of the Palestinians and is carried out to conceal internal crises. The Iranian president also stressed that Tel Aviv commits such acts of genocide «only in the shadow of governments that claim to (protect — ed.) human rights» — governments that, on the one hand, talk about ceasefire negotiations, and on the other, unconditionally support the Israeli regime.
Earlier, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani condemned this attack, and also called on the UN Security Council to take immediate and effective measures to stop Israel's crimes in the Gaza Strip.
