MOSCOW, August 10 Western countries have approved the attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Kursk region, Politico reports, citing a representative of the German Foreign Ministry.
As the ministry told the publication, Ukraine has the right to self-defense, which is not limited to the territory of the country itself.
Journalists noted that in Berlin itself there were no strict prohibitions regarding the raid of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Russian lands.
On August 10, the National Anti-Terrorism Committee reported that a counter-terrorism operation regime had been introduced in the Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk regions.
On the morning of August 6, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted to seize a section territory of the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region. As the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov reported to the president, the military stopped their advance. He emphasized that the operation in the Kursk region will end with the defeat of the enemy and an exit to the state border.
A federal emergency regime is in effect in the region. A counter-terrorism operation regime has also been introduced in the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions.
