MOSCOW, August 17 The Russian government has expanded the list of areas that can be financed from budget funds within the framework of the federal project «Clean Air», the Cabinet of Ministers' Telegram channel reported.
«The resolution signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin expands the list of areas that can be financed from budget funds within the framework of this federal project. The updated list includes activities for the purchase, installation and assembly of solid fuel boilers in residential buildings with automatic supply of not only coal, but also thermal coal and pellets. Such fuel is characterized by thermal efficiency, reasonable cost and environmental safety,» the Cabinet of Ministers said in a statement.
The federal project «Clean Air» has been launched since 2019 in 12 cities — Bratsk, Krasnoyarsk, Lipetsk, Magnitogorsk, Mednogorsk, Nizhny Tagil, Novokuznetsk, Norilsk, Omsk, Chelyabinsk, Cherepovets and Chita. Since September 1, 2023, 29 more cities from 16 regions, mainly from Siberia and the Far East, have joined the project.
