The DDT group postponed indefinitely the concerts scheduled for May 27 and June 17 in St. Petersburg and Moscow «for reasons beyond the control of the group and the organizers.» This was reported on the official website of the musicians.
“We will announce the new performance dates as soon as possible. All purchased tickets do not require an exchange and will be valid, ”the announcement of the postponement of the concerts reads. It also follows from the group's message that in February there were no performances in Chelyabinsk, Magnitogorsk and Orenburg.
Earlier, the DDT concert was canceled in Rostov-on-Don. In addition, the owner of the concert venue decided to refuse Mumiy Toll and Time Machine performances. The city authorities said that the latter group's frontman Andrei Makarevich has a «negative influence» on people.
In August 2022, the band's frontman Yuri Shevchuk was fined 50 thousand rubles under the protocol on «discrediting» the army (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The reason for this was the band's performance on May 18 in Ufa. Fontanka has included DDT in the list of groups whose concerts are banned in Russia due to anti-war statements.
