In Ingushetia, a 22-year-old resident of the Malgobek district, a student of the Astrakhan Medical University Ramazan Gandaloev, was detained, who a month ago was put on the wanted list by local security forces on suspicion of «planning crimes.» This was reported to the government newspaper Ingushetia by an unnamed source.
Together with Gandaloev, two other university students were put on the wanted list — Ramazan's 23-year-old brother Malik Gandaloev and 24-year-old native of Dagestan Arsen Gammadov. Both were detained on March 23 in the forest of the Sunzhensky district, a source in the law enforcement agencies of the region told RIA Novosti. According to him, an improvised explosive device, which was found in a hiding place, was confiscated from the students.
On March 5, the Telegram channel “Search of Ingushetia” published an announcement about the missing students. The message said that on February 27, young people collected personal belongings in a rented apartment in Astrakhan and left by taxi for Nazran, and in the evening they left in the area of the village of Troitskaya.
“We had large travel trunks, a backpack and a sports bag with us. At their place of residence in Astrakhan, a «farewell» a letter of a religious extremist nature,” the Telegram channel wrote. The post stated that the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB «have reasonable suspicions» that the students «are planning to commit crimes of a terrorist nature.»
The same telegram channel published a video message from the mothers of Gammadov and Gandaloev asking them to find their sons. Baza, in turn, claimed that the students' relatives found out about their disappearance on March 2 — on the same day, according to the publication, Gammadov wrote a message to his father «Do not look for me.»
As the interlocutor of Ingushetia specified ”, Ramazan Gandaloev himself confessed to the police department, investigators are working with him. A video appeared on the Magnum Z telegram channel today, in which, according to Ingushetia and the Caucasian Knot, Ramazan's father Umarbek Gandaloev shows his son and his lawyer. “I am filming this video near the gates of the Malgobek District Department of Internal Affairs. Here is my son in good health. Here is his lawyer Mustafa,” the man says.
Another local telegram channel, News Ingushetii Official, claimed that a case was opened against the students for the manufacture and illegal possession of explosives (222.1 and 223.1 of the Criminal Code). There is no official confirmation of this information.
