VLADIVOSTOK, September 11 Voter turnout at the elections Governor of Primorye was 45.59%, the commission did not receive any complaints regarding the voting results or the counting of votes overnight, Tatyana Gladkikh, chairman of the regional election commission, told reporters.
In Primorye, voting took place from September 8 for three days.
«According to the data received from the PEC, the number of voters who took part in the elections in absolute numbers is 655,218, which is 45.59%… As for the voting results and vote counts, not a single such appeal ( the commission did not receive a written complaint tonight,” Gladkikh said.
She added that the number of written complaints and appeals received by commissions at all levels will be counted in the “coming days.” Gladkikh also clarified that a total of 1,437,094 voters were included in the lists.
According to the chairman of the Public Chamber of Primorye Boris Stupnitsky, 2,391 observers worked at the polling stations, the situational headquarters did not receive any complaints about violations.
The current head of the Primorsky Territory Oleg Kozhemyako received 72.78% of the votes, Inna Kosheleva (LDPR) — 9.83% of the votes, Alexander Andoni («Communists of Russia») — 5.94% of the votes, Kirill Rudyuk ( «A Just Russia — Patriots — For Truth») — 4.77%, Denis Kovalev («Cossack Party») — 3.89%.
The previous elections for the head of the region in 2018 had to be held twice. Based on the results of the first vote, the current governor Andrei Tarasenko and the candidate from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Andrei Ishchenko advanced to the second round. Against the backdrop of massive violations noted during the elections, the regional election commission, on the recommendation of the Russian Central Election Commission, declared the results invalid. Repeated elections in December took place within one day and ended with the victory of Oleg Kozhemyako, who received 61.88% of the votes. The turnout then was 46.35%.
