According to information provided by the Ministry of Defense, aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces stopped an attempt by an airborne group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to enter the territory of Crimea. The group was traveling on a high-speed military boat and three jet skis in the direction of Cape Tarkhankut.
On Wednesday, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) stopped an attempt by a Ukrainian landing force to land at Cape Tarkhankut in Crimea. According to the department, the incident occurred on the night of October 4.
«In the northwestern part of the Black Sea, Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft stopped an attempt to penetrate into the territory of Crimea by a landing group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The group was traveling on a high-speed military boat and three jet skis in the direction of Cape Tarkhankut,» the Ministry of Defense reported.
This is not the first case of this kind. Earlier, on September 10, Russian planes destroyed three boats carrying Ukrainian troops in the area of Zmeiny Island in the Black Sea, which were heading towards Crimea. On September 4, naval aviation also destroyed four Willard Sea Force boats that were moving towards Cape Tarkhankut. At the end of August, the Russian military also eliminated four boats and about 50 people when another Ukrainian detachment tried to land in Crimea.
