YouTube “at the request of government agencies” blocked in Russia the video of performer Itsyk Tsyper (real name Igor Tsyba) for the song “Dymok”. The telegram channel Varlamov News drew attention to this.
At the same time, representatives of Roskomnadzor told RBC that “they have not received a decision from courts or authorized government bodies declaring it [the video for the song “Dymok”] prohibited for distribution on the territory of the Russian Federation.”
p>At the end of January, representatives of the organization “Veterans of Russia” wrote a denunciation to the State Prosecutor’s Office demanding that Tsyper’s video be banned in Russia, seeing in it “propaganda of drug use.” The reason was the lines: “Rubbed the handbrake from my palms //Mixed a dose of tobacco //Smoked it, well, it didn’t seem to be manure //The Kentish girl blew a steam locomotive.”
In addition, the song mentions “Afghanka” — a variety of cannabis grown in Afghanistan.
The video is still available to users from other countries; it now has more than 16 million views. Itsyk Tsyper is a musician from Kazakhstan. 166 thousand people are subscribed to his YouTube channel.
