Experts explain the record figures by the fact that both the number of entrepreneurs and their incomes have increased in Ukraine.
In 2021, Ukrainian entrepreneurs paid a record amount of a single tax — UAH 34.8 billion, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to Focus.
«This is not only more than in 2020, when the treasury was replenished by UAH 27.6 billion, and is an absolute record for five years», the message of the «Opendatabot» platform says.
The record amount of taxes paid is due to several factors: the number of entrepreneurs in the country has increased, as well as their income. In addition, it is noted that open FOPs began to close less often, and by the end of 2021 the number of registered entrepreneurs reached 2 million.
«The rate of registration of new entrepreneurs blocked the closure of old FOPs even during quarantine lockdowns and protest movements, against the introduction of cash registers and other fiscalization measures», «Opendatabot» reports.
It is worth noting that in 2020 there was a decline in the growth in the number of sole proprietorships in Ukraine. According to a member of the Ukrainian Rada of Business, Nadezhda Bedrichuk, due to quarantine measures during the pandemic, the number of new businesses increased by only 1.1%, while in 2019 this figure reached 7.5%.
«These statistics should be considered not from the point of view «well, there is still growth, even during covid», but from the point of view of a 7-fold drop in growth rates», said Bedrichuk.
