In Chechnya, a case of incitement to terrorism was opened against Ibragim Yangulbaev, the son of kidnapped Zarema Musaeva

A criminal case was opened against Ibragim Yangulbaev, the son of the arrested Zarema Musaeva, under the article on public calls for terrorist activities (part 2 of article 205.2 of the Criminal Code). This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Chechen Republic.

The Visaitovsky District Court of Grozny arrested Yangulbaev in absentia. He himself is now on the federal wanted list, the security forces reported.

Baza previously reported on the criminal case against Yangulbaev. According to the telegram channel, the reason for the persecution is old posts in the 1ADAT telegram channel. According to Baza, according to experts, the texts allegedly contain signs of justifying terrorists. >

According to the police, Musayeva allegedly “shouted and insulted the officers” when she was taken to the police station, the Telegram channel writes. The security forces also stated that the district police officer for the Akhmatovsky district of Grozny began to draw up a protocol against Musaev, and at that moment the woman allegedly “grabbed him by the left cheek and scratched his face while trying to pull him away.” Under Part 2 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code, Musaeva faces up to 10 years in prison.

However, the Committee Against Torture told Novaya Gazeta that so far nothing is known about the initiation of a case against Musaeva and human rights activists are checking this information .

On January 28, it became known that Musayeva refused the services of a lawyer. Human rights activists believe that this document could have been signed under pressure.
