Fund cash value «Partnership for a Strong Ukraine» is 35 million pounds.
The United States, Sweden, Switzerland, Great Britain and Canada have launched a joint international fund «Partnership for a Strong Ukraine». The monetary volume of the fund is 35 million pounds, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to Channel 24.
Why Ukraine needs a fund
Vice Prime Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk noted that public support and the trust of partners are important for Ukraine today.
Swiss Ambassador to Ukraine Claude Wilde said that there is a reality of conflict, Russian occupation and hybrid war that affects Ukrainians.
The security and stability of Ukraine is our security and stability,
he stressed.
The Minister for Foreign Development and Cooperation of Sweden, Matilda Ernkranz, stressed that the «Partnership for a Strong Ukraine» will contribute to the strengthening of Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.
The first projects of the fund
Also Vereshchuk shared that the fund has 35 million pounds at the start (almost 1.35 billion hryvnia) for the first projects, which will be aimed at communities, their sustainability, people in need of support from both the state and the international community.

Vereshchuk noted.
Fund budget: how much countries will contribute
British Ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons noted that partners, together with the government of Ukraine through this fund, are committed to supporting victims of Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine. UK will contribute contribution of £11.5 million pounds sterling over 3 years to the fund.
U.S. Chargé d'Affaires ai in Ukraine Christina Quinn said that The United States through USAID intends to increase its contribution to the fund from 5 to $10 million.
Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine Larisa Galadza emphasized that Canada provides C$10 to 15 million to the fund to support press escalation.
