MOSCOW, Nov 6 German Chancellor Olaf Scholz spoke out about the inadmissibility the use of nuclear weapons in the conflict in Ukraine, the Tagesschau news portal quotes him as saying.
The German politician in his speech called on Russia to rule out this scenario.
«The use of nuclear weapons in this conflict is unacceptable and unacceptable. < …> This is a line that must not be crossed,» Scholz quoted the publication as saying.
The head of the German government stressed that during negotiations with Chinese President Xi Jinping, he also noted that nuclear weapons should not be used.
«This alone was worth the whole trip,» says the German chancellor.
Scholz visited Beijing on Friday, where he discussed bilateral relations with the Chinese leader in an unstable international situation. Xi Jinping urged to support all efforts for a peaceful settlement of the situation in Ukraine, to show rationality and restraint.
