The prosecutor's office of the Tyumen region approved the indictment in the case of an attempt to set fire to the administration building of the Pleshkovsky rural settlement and a kindergarten against a 36-year-old local resident. This was reported on the agency's website.
The man is accused of attempted deliberate destruction of someone else's property by arson (part 3 of article 30; part 2 of article 167 of the Criminal Code). His criminal case was transferred to the Ishimsky District Court for consideration on the merits.
According to investigators, one evening in May this year, a resident of the Ishimsky District broke the window of the building and set it on fire. As a result, the fire was quickly extinguished. “By his actions, the accused tried to cause material damage totaling more than 6 million rubles,” the prosecutor’s office noted.
Cases of similar arsons became more frequent after the announcement of mobilization in the country. Buildings of military enlistment offices and administrative buildings have been on fire since September 21 in Kazan, Kyzyl, Novosibirsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Shchelkovo, Goryachiy Klyuch and other cities throughout Russia.
