The Foreign Ministry called how much grain the needy countries received under the food deal

GENEVA, Mar 14 As part of the grain deal, grain is supplied to developed countries, only 3% — to states in need of urgent assistance, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin told reporters on Tuesday.
According to him, the Russian side has repeatedly said that it is not satisfied with how the agreements on the Ukrainian track are being implemented.

«Yes, indeed, a large amount of grain is exported, while we always pay attention to the fact that fodder corn predominates among grains. We pay attention to the fact that most of these grains go to developed countries, and only a smaller one — to less developed countries, and a very small part — to countries in need of urgent assistance. This last part does not exceed 3%,» Vershinin told reporters in Geneva.

According to him, statements are heard from Western capitals that it is the export of food from Ukraine that really helps to improve the food situation in the world, especially in the poorest countries.
«This is absolutely not true. On the contrary, I would emphasize that it is the export of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers that is Russia's main contribution to ensuring food security in the world,» the diplomat said.
