MOSCOW, July 30 Twitter has restored the page of rapper Kanye West eight months after the lockdown, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Earlier in October 2022, ABC News reported that the social networks Twitter and Instagram (banned in Russia as extremist) blocked Kanye West's accounts after his statements about the Jewish community, but at the end of the month, Twitter returned the rapper access to his account. However, in December, Musk announced that West's account would again be blocked due to another violation of his rules on incitement to violence.
«X, the social network formerly known as Twitter, reinstated Kanye West's account on Saturday, about eight months after it was suspended for violating company policies,» the publication said.
According to the company, despite the unlock, West's page will work with a number of restrictions. So, the rapper will not be able to monetize the account, and ads will not appear next to his posts.
Twitter returned West access to the platform after receiving assurances that the rapper would not use it to spread anti-Semitic and other offensive remarks, according to an insider.
