Real disposable income of Russians grew by 5.3% in Q2


MOSCOW, Aug 2/Prime Real disposable income of Russians in the second quarter accelerated growth to 5.3% in annual terms from 4.4% in the first, according to the results six months — rose by 4.7%, according to Rosstat.
Real disposable cash income is income minus mandatory payments, adjusted for inflation.

«Real disposable cash income, according to estimates, in the second quarter of 2023 increased by 5.3% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year», — the message says.

The publication of Rosstat again clarified data on the dynamics of real disposable income of Russians during 2022. Thus, in the first quarter, they increased in annual terms by 2% (according to the previous estimate, they decreased by 0.5%), in the second — they showed zero dynamics (the previous estimate was retained), in the third — the decline was 5.3% (as before ), in the fourth — decreased by 0.2% (according to the previous estimate, there was an increase of 1.5%). At the same time, the assessment of real disposable income at the end of 2022 remained the same — a decrease of 1%.
Rosstat indicated that the data have been updated compared to previously published data due to the adjustment of certain indicators of banking statistics.
Following the data of 2022, the dynamics of the current year has also been clarified. Thus, according to the new estimate, the growth of real disposable income in the first quarter amounted to 4.4% instead of growth by 0.1%.
The Ministry of Economic Development expects that the real disposable income of Russians will grow by 3.4% this year.
