““During the preparation and conduct of the single voting day in 2023, as a result of monitoring the media in the regions where elections were held, Roskomnadzor identified 54 signs of violations of the Russian Federation legislation on elections,” says the response to the request.
It is noted that all materials with signs of violations were transferred to election commissions for analysis and appropriate decisions.
“If violations are confirmed, the media and their officials will be held accountable under Article 5.5 (violation of the procedure for the participation of the media in information support of elections – ed.) and 5.10 (conducting election campaigning outside the campaign period and in places where where its implementation is prohibited – ed.) Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation,” the message says.
