MOSCOW, November 4. Blogger Ayaz Shabutdinov was detained before the start of the trial in Moscow, a source in law enforcement agencies said.
The investigator made this decision based on the results of the blogger’s interrogation. Details of the criminal investigation and the fate of Shabutdinov will become known on the morning of November 4, the agency’s interlocutor added.
Previously, the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Central Administrative District opened a criminal case of fraud against a famous blogger and business coach. A source in law enforcement agencies clarified that we are talking about Ayaz Shabutdinov.
According to the preliminary version, the blogger, together with his accomplices, acting on behalf of several legal entities, “promised to teach anyone who wanted to do effective business activities with the receipt of excess income.” Companies, using methods of aggressive promotion of their services, offered clients educational programs, trainings and webinars, “who are supposedly capable of starting a successful business,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
As stated by the official representative of the department, Major General Irina Volk, there is information about “several episodes of illegal activities by employees of one of the commercial organizations through which the blogger sold his courses.”
The maximum sanction under Article 159 of the Criminal Code (“Fraud”) provides for ten years in prison.
