MOSCOW, November 11. Ticket sales for the ballet “The Nutcracker” have begun at the Bolshoi Theater box office from December 29 to 31, the correspondent reports.
Previously, the Bolshoi Theater published a special program for pre-sale of tickets for performances of the ballet “The Nutcracker” on its official website due to the increased demand for the performance. According to the sales schedule, performances on December 29-31 will start on November 11 and 12 at the box office and on the website, respectively.
The theater box office opened at 10.00. About 50 people from preferential categories who had not previously stood in line were the first to buy tickets. Among them was a man who decided to realize his dream and go to the Bolshoi Theater for the first time.
“I’ve been wanting to go see The Nutcracker for a very long time. This will be my first trip to the Bolshoi Theater — a significant event. Still, for the New Year I want to see a fairy tale. I managed to get a ticket due to the fact that I am disabled — such categories go out of turn «, he said.
When customers left the ticket office, other people in the queue asked them about their choice of seats . From the very beginning, the audience was indignant that the entire stalls were already occupied.
After the preferential categories of citizens, people who had stood in line for several days began to go to the box office to buy tickets. The first was a woman from Krasnoyarsk, who said that this did not give her the opportunity to choose more convenient seats, since the entire stall was already booked.
“There’s generally zero choice, but I took it for the evening of December 31, so everything was already booked there. I took seats (for myself and my 15-year-old daughter — ed.) in a box in the first row, each ticket for 14 thousand (rubles — ed. .), because there is nothing down there, and all the central places are occupied… (I stood in line — ed.) since November 8 from 13 o'clock,» she emphasized, noting that after purchasing tickets she experiences positive emotions, since “madly loves Tchaikovsky” and has never been to the Bolshoi Theater.
The woman said that next year she is ready to stand in line for tickets again if she prepares well. “We still need a table to sit and eat, a little more chairs,” she added.
The people who spent more than a day in line with her congratulated her on purchasing the long-awaited tickets.
A man who bought tickets for himself and his children with his wife also spoke about the limited choice of seats. «The choice of tickets is not very good. We had number five (bracelet — ed.) in the queue. There are no central boxes at all. We took the amphitheater, the third row, but wanted the first or second tier, the center, closer to the 12th box. We'll go to “The Nutcracker” on December 29 at seven in the evening,” he said.
According to him, this was not the first time they stood in line. On November 3, after waiting for four hours, they were still unable to get the bracelets, but they teamed up with others who wanted to buy the coveted tickets and this time, after spending two days in line, they were able to purchase them.
Problems with the formation of a queue for bracelets began on November 3 — on the eve of the start of ticket sales for the first performances on December 23-28. On November 4, even before the box office opened at 10 am, huge queues had already formed in front of the Bolshoi Theater.
Last weekend, advertisements appeared on Avito for the sale of tickets and bracelets for places in the queue, the price ranged from 15 to 50 thousand rubles, the service was blocked ad data. Another ad offered pre-order tickets to The Nutcracker. A certain agency promised tickets with an advance payment of 50% of the total cost.
The head of the State Duma Committee on Culture, Elena Yampolskaya, previously stated that an appeal from the State Duma Committee on Culture was sent to the General Director of the Bolshoi Theater, Vladimir Urin, with questions about the situation with the sale of tickets to the ballet. The director of the Bolshoi Theater responded that the Bolshoi Theater annually improves the ticket sales system for popular performances.
