NOVOSIBIRSK, December 13Investigators of the Investigative Committee in the Novosibirsk region opened a criminal case of extortion of money from a pensioner, in which two teenagers are suspected, reports the Investigative Committee for the region.
“»The Kochenevsky Interdistrict Investigation Department of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Novosibirsk Region has opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime provided for in paragraph «a» of Part 2 of Article 163 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (extortion committed by a group of persons),» the message says.
According to the investigation, in December 2023, in one of the villages of the Kochenevsky district, two teenagers, one of whom had not reached the age of criminal responsibility, abused an elderly woman in her house, threatening to use violence, they demanded that she give them money, and then they found it themselves and disappeared.
“»Investigators inspected the scene of the incident and ordered forensic medical examinations. The teenagers were taken to the investigative department, where investigators are working with them… The issue of choosing a preventive measure for the suspect is being decided,» the investigative department reported.
In turn, the prosecutor's office recognized the legality of the initiation of a criminal case and monitored the progress and results of its investigation.
