VGTRK reported that Yevgeny Poddubny was wounded but alive; Z-channels wrote about the death of the “war correspondent” in the Kursk region

VGTRK reported that Z-war correspondent Yevgeny Poddubny was wounded in a Ukrainian drone attack in the Kursk region and is in the hospital.

The state TV channel Zvezda writes that Poddubny was taken to the Kursk regional hospital. According to Zvezda, he is «in extremely serious condition.»

VGTRK later also added an update to its news story stating that the war correspondent's condition is assessed as serious. At the same time, the acting governor of the Kursk region, Alexey Smirnov, claims that the war correspondent «has regained consciousness.»

Before this, the pro-war Telegram channel «Operation Z: War Correspondents of the Russian Spring» reported the death of Poddubny. State Duma deputy from the «A Just Russia» party Mikhail Delyagin also reported this.

Delyagin edited his post several times. “People from the field, whom I trust absolutely, informed me about the death of Yevgeny Poddubny. But let them report it officially. This is NOT information,” the latest version of the publication said.

The Telegram channel “Military Informant” and NTV also wrote about Poddubny’s death, citing a source.

Z-war correspondent Kotenok claimed that Poddubny “was killed by a direct hit from a Ukrainian FPV drone on a car.” The same thing was written, citing the war correspondent’s friends, by former Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Tsarev, who fought on the side of the separatists in Donbass — he then reported that Poddubny was alive.

Misogynist Vladislav Pozdnyakov also reported on Poddubny's death — he was the first to deny his own report of his death. Pozdnyakov added, citing his source, that Poddubny was «absolutely conscious and healthy, just with minor burns.»

«What hype-hungry faggots you are. You haven't even told your relatives yet, and they've already started to suffer,» said war correspondent Alexander Kots in response to reports of Poddubny's death.

The last post on Poddubny's Telegram channel was published at 19:35 Moscow time. It claimed that a Ukrainian BMP crew «shot at a civilian vehicle in the border village of Zeleny Shlyakh, not far from Sudzha.»
